Garden Group visits

If your club or group makes visits to gardens why not try somewhere friendly and unique. Pinsla Garden and Nursery is set in tranquil woodland near Cardinham, Bodmin. As you can see from the reviews Pinsla has been well received by the press.

Pinsla is easy to access being a couple of miles off the A30 or A38. It is ideal for a visit of 1 ½ to 2 hours, providing a romantic 1 ½ acre garden to walk around on a maze of paths. We can provide a guided tour or talk. There are sculptures to inspire, and a great collection of unusual and decorative plants. Garden statues and wall plaques are also available in the well stocked plant nursery. Tea or coffee and home-made cake is served beside our enchanting period cottage.

The cost for groups of 10+ is £2 per person for garden entry, and £2.50 for as much tea or coffee as you can drink and a generous portion of our famous lemon drizzle or carrot cake.

Garden Talks for clubs and groups

We also give entertaining talks with slides and plants. The fee is £35 + 20p per mile for travel. A choice for 2010/11 is listed below, or talks can be tailored for your group.

1. Creating Pinsla Garden: This talk illustrates how Mark and Claire Woodbine have created a wild and romantic garden full of interesting planting, and landscaping.

2. Making the most of the shade: Claire uses her knowledge of woodland gardening to suggest plants and plant combinations that thrive in the shade

3. Gardening with nature: This talk is about gardening in tune with nature, making a tranquil garden and wildlife haven.

4. Garden art: Claire shows how garden sculpture and imaginative landscaping can add to a garden.

5. Giving structure to the garden: Creating and maintaining the garden framework from the ground up; making decorative paths to shaping shrubs and trees.
